Vaccination & Deworming Protocol Suggested by Dr. Ewalt
• Vaccination with Vision CD&T® for all adults—every 6 months or yearly (best to give to pregnant females 60 to 90 days prior to birthing so that some immunity will be passed to cria through colostrum)
• Vaccinate crias born to vaccinated dams with Vision CD&T® at 3, 4, & 6 months, then as with adult
• Vaccinate crias born to unvaccinated dams or dams that were done greater than 90 days prior to birthing with Vision CD&T at 2 days, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months
• Animals with unknown vaccination history or no previous vaccines should receive 2 doses of Vision CD&T 4 weeks apart. (New arrivals should also be quarantined for 2 to 4 weeks).
• Ivermectin monthly for meningeal worm prevention
• Panacur or Safeguard deworming as necessary based on fecal analysis |
